This traditional buffet with two drawers and two doors from early 1900s Italy has simple carvings of flowers and foliage and is finished in two polish tones. The bottom apron is curved and has an intricately carved soup tureen at the centre. This is surrounded on both sides by a wheat plant with leaves. The carving is so fine that you can count each individual kernel and spike of the wheat ears. The flowing leafy themes are continued in the metal key hole escutcheons and the drawer pulls. One should also note the detail of the long hinge showcased on the outside of the door panels.
